Selena Gomez, an actress and a singer, is well-known worldwide. One of the projects she's been a part of that has had the greatest successful can be described as the Disney series called Wizards of Waverly Place. Her full name is Selena Marie Gomez. Born on July 22nd, 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. Selena's mother was 16 years old at the time they were born. At the age of 9, she found her first work as a showgirl when she got the role as Gianna as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. The role was chosen by youngsters who had the chance to play with the most well-known reptile, the purple anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena performed on various episodes of season 7 and 8 from 2001 and 2003. A fun fact to note: Selena isn't the only singer who worked on Barney and the Friends throughout this time. Demi Lovato was also part of the team that starred in the show. Selena Gomez tried out for several other roles and programs after she quit Barney and Friends, but she did not succeed. Selena got the role as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire and starred in Mini Spies 3 in 2003. Also, in 2006 she portrayed Emily Grace Garcia on the Brain Zapped television program. For this role, she composed a tune.
